How can Westfield have Christmas lights? It's indoors, ffs.

Same with Brent Cross.
Our mall is the only retail place suitable for lights/decorations so the city always switches on a huge display of lights and animated models in the park instead, the day after Thanksgiving.

There is an agreement here in the Netherlands that there are no Christmas decorations, until 5th December, which is St Nicholaas.

Pimlico Plumbers have set up their Christmas lights on the roof of there building in Vauxhall. And they've been switched on to give commuters leaving Waterloo that festive feeling - on Bonfire Night!

The first Christmas trees and lights went up on Nov 1st here in Tokyo...

And don't think the 'celebs' do it for free... I heard a programme on R4 last week that mentioned the amounts of council tax payers' money that these 'famous' people receive (Ainsley Harriott eleven grand, for example). Truly sickening, and thank god for the forthcoming cuts in local governmint spending...

Not my favourite paper, but info nonetheless: http://www.express.co.uk/posts/view/208632/Councils-blow-thousands-on-C-list-stars
