Does Channel 4+1 = Five?

I find the Film4 scheduling far more annoying. Most of the good stuff can't be shown before 9. But 9 is for movies with mass-market appeal - most of which I've seen, and the remainder uninteresting. No, Film4 regularly schedules their most *interesting* movies (and they do show a lot of them!) at 11. Or later. Bollocks to that, I say. And they're all movies that I'd like to see, but can't be arsed to download.

Now if only Sky One and Sky Sports do the same, I'll be happy.

chz needs film 4 -2, actually so do I

"who wants a hard drive full of 40 hours of programmes I'll never get round to watching anyway?"

So... eh... if you aren't really that bothered then.. umm.. why are you that bothered??

Faced with 40 hours of programmes stockpiled on a hard drive, I'd never get round to watching it all and would probably end up recording over most of it.

But I'm much better at committing to watch 40 hours of TV programmes 'as broadcast', spaced out in hourly chunks. I prefer little and often.

French TV does it too... pisses me off... Monday night had two silly movies, one being T Dalton as 007, the other equally mundane without a star being rated, and scheduled for 9pm. Last night, two classic movies both with a bloke called Bourvil, who's really funny in one, and menacing in the other, both 3* rated...and again at 9pm...

At 8pm UK time, there is bugger all on worth watching.

Sod's law perhaps but why do they do it, when the two channels concerned are from the same stable so to speak...?

Whoops - meant to say how much I enjoy your pages from London life... diverted here some time ago from Jag's route79..

Keeps me in better touch with London than the BBC London news, but isn't Riz (spelling ?) beautiful or what ?

There are a pretty large number of +1 channels on Cable (Living, Trouble, E4 etc) and they are indeed fab. What I really want is -1 as well, but that.. well... something's not quite right there is it?

when should we be expecting dg+1?!?

sssssh!!

ah

I can't believe people find anything good to watch in the summer - I hate summer TV although Saxondale starts tonight which is good. Roll on Top Gear in October!
