Chas and Dave are no more. Dave's retired and Chas is continuing on with Chas and His Band. Unless you are expecting them to do a reunion tour.

Is there anything Greg.Tingey actually likes?

Now, now Baldassaro - play the ball not the man.

Baldassaro:

I feel he may like the Daily Mail and and appearing in local papers frowning with his "we say no to....everything" placard...

Back on topic, okay then lets just let that famous East London side Stratford Hotspur pull off the nifty trick of forever maiming two other London teams at a stroke (Us & Palarse) whilst co-opting Barry Hearn Flats FC (the O's) as the first ever US style minor league team. Thats the market, baby...

WHU may not be the ideal solution but it sure smells better than that, to me.

BTW DG, still a funny article.

Oh, and just by the by, I love all this conventional "wisdom" that West Ham will not only be relegated but never come back, here's a couple of inconvenient facts:

1. In the last 53 years West Ham have spent 8 seasons over 4 spells outside the top division of English football.

2. The last time we went down we still averaged 30k in the Championship AND twice took 40k fans to Cardiff for playoff finals.

Just saying is all...folk are free to choose to believe the bitter corporate hype of Spurs.

U Tottenham if you wunt to, the Flaneur is not for Tottenham...

I thought you wanted West Ham to get it, DG? You'd never guess now. Watch out for when cynicism becomes depression.

West Ham vs Hartlepool in League One in 2014? Unlikely. Hartlepool are one of my tips to be in the middle of the Championship by then. Below the Seagulls, of course.

More likely: West Ham vs Dagenham and Redbridge. Now that might draw a crowd of more than 20.

Nice one Graybo, lovely short memory from a BHA fan, followed and supported you from when you were kicked out of the Goldstone, back through Gillingham...

Now you laugh at us potentially getting swamped by Spurs, nice, cheers.

Football? Pah! Know nothing about the leagues, but it just adds to that sense of foreboding I have over the whole Olympic thing! Great post DG

Tell this man it's all done by computer:

Why don't they build the running track under the stands, then we can have a good view of the pitch.

....or have the track on the roof - if it's banked the spectators will be able to see it.

Darlington? Darlington?? You've got to be joking!

Even that bunch of losers wouldn't be seen dead running around a football field which cannot even be seen from the terraces!

Try MK Dons; or else Milwall!

Okay Greg, sorry I accused you of reading the Daily Mail.

As to the sports, I really do tend to be live and let live, you are totally free not to like them, just as people are free to enjoy them.
