Good design is some thing that you don't miss until you see it done well. I must say I never really noticed design until I lived for 18 months in Italy in the 1970's.

This is in the vicinity of where I work, so I have been several times in the last 3 years and I usually do time it so I can see 2 exhibitions rather than one. I will miss it when it moves, for me it's iconic of the gentrification of Shad Thames. And I do love the views from the 2nd floor of Wapping (and where I live) and of Tower Bridge from outside the museum, and the peacefulness given its location. All you can hear is people rather than traffic, and the flowing waters of the Thames. Kensington won't be able to replace that atmosphere. |
