You forgot - First!

Followed by - Damn, second ...

and trailing a looooooong way in third. Probably because I couldn't think of anything orginal to say.

Wot no paradigm shift?

My favorite ever comment was "wow - first!! When I have read the post I will comment". (seen on damninteresting)

What unit covers "is spelling important, and what can I claim was just a typo"?

Is there no optional strand on comment control? I would like to see guidance on issues like;
whether to moderate or not
delete spam comment and trolls?
dealing with uncomplimetary comments
do I correct factual errors in the blog after having them pointed out to me?

Some where between module 3/4

I would like to know the appropriate level at which to register. Please.

Ah, sorry, just read your email. I'll be delighted to write the course materials for you

Could I please give the course on "The Joy Of Picking Fault In Factual Inaccuracies" ?

I could also give good personal examples of the consequences of ignoring the "How not to ..." sessions.

How about a session on "why proofreading your own comments will not eliminate all errors" ?

...So I write today's blogpost on my own site, then scan my Bloglines subscriptions and see that you've written something much more interesting on the same subject.

Your card is marked mister.

Ouch, that's all I can say.

I think I'm intermediate but I have no idea.

Love Module 6.

Do we get a sew-on badge to show that we've completed each module? Like in scouts, or swimming?

Having been put firmly in place and realising that I'm still at COMM-A level I shall not leave a comment at all.

How many times can we retake a module? How much is coursework and how much is based on a final examined assessment? Can we choose between different awarding authorities?

(Obligatory: Incidentally, I believe it is necessary to point out that some part of your post can be desperately construed as resembling NAZI GERMANY)

(Also: Simon! You used a semi-colon when I believe a colon would have been more appropriate. I HATE YOU.)

I work in a Faculty of Lifelong Learning, and have a few questions about your recently submitted programme proposal.
What are you doing to promote widening participation and attracting non-traditional web users to take up opportunities in blog-commenting? What is the economic value of this programme to Great Britain plc? Please can I examine your course's Aims and Learning Outcomes against which student achievement will be measured?
What is the assessment process? Does it include rigorous precautions against plagiarism?
And you thought developing new courses was fun.

I have to say that I really preferred the blog when you were writing interesting things about London. Now it seems the whole blog is about comments comments comments. Please don't take this the wrong way, but can we have the old Diamond Geezer back? Otherwise, I'm afraid, you'll have lost a reader.

Is there much homework involved? And what about those comment threads that go on forever - are we expected to read ALL the comments before leaving our own?

Oh yes - is it free?

And then you discover Tom Reynolds is doing it as well, and it has turned into ... A MEME!

I think I'll take Module 4, as long as I'm not expected to pay extortionate top-up fees of £3,000 per year, and I'm given cheap beer, bus travel and a student railcard.

Oh yes, will it be okay for me to stay in bed until 2pm as well?

Red Dalek

It was a typo!

I've nothing to add, except - this is brilliant!!!

(Surely there needs to be a ninth module, for sycophancy?)

Put me down for the whole (revision) course, please. I may have done COMM-A before, but I keep getting stuck at Module 3! And, I'd like a sew on badge too.

Are there different levels of lurking as well do you think?

Can't I just pay $25 now and get an immediate diploma? And when are you goig to roll out this product?

I love the "first!!!!!" type comments that also praise the quality of the post, posted within picoseconds of the post going live.

Especially amusing when on sites where the content is in video form...

Hey DG you seen this http://randomreality.blogware.co...16/

you guys been swapping notes?

dg writes: *cough* Module 4 Unit 1

I filled up my Caffè Nero loyalty card today - can I claim accreditation for prior learning on Module 3?

And then six months later you start getting 300 comments a day along the lines of FJL - conspiraloon or victim?

Please let me know which module will teach me how to make ironic comments on ironic postings. Thank you.

Should you need somone to teach the "Spelling" module - may I apply?

I'll even supply my own dictionary(/ies)

I think there might be scope for the occasional ad hoc evening seminar - "Lurking for fun and profit".

Here goes at first I thought this was about learning to Blog something tat fills me with terror!!! and would have put me firmly at COMM-A Mod 1.

But Ha! I noticed the 'comments' link and realised I was actually at COMM-B Mod 4.
However, it didnt stop there. I quickly realised I am already at COMM-I Mod 6 but stuck with *Growing a thick skin.
PLEASE DONT > ME
