Whilst trying to decide whether the little building on the island would be called a folly (no, it's a pavilion), I got sidetracked into investigating other such buildings. The Dunmore Pineapple (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dunmore_Pineapple) has been described as "the most bizarre building in Scotland".
