Do you ever get the feeling there's a select list of blogs that lazy journalists turn to whenever they have space to fill with some space to fill on a deadline, and that you're on it? This is a rhetorical question. It's funny how old top-down, didactic, other-fancy-words media is so abjectly useless at parsing the internet. No wonder Google will eat them all. |
Ashton: Yes. I'm just waiting for when the Times does an item on vomit and poo blogs, an' I'll be in there at number 19. |
Why the need to be so patronising? To be fair to The Times, your blog is in a section entitled 'London life', which is pretty accurate, isn't it? And no, I don't work for Rupert. |
I'm surprised that I am not on that list...... |
This is always my first stop for...um...property info |
Yep, cracking blog. Me too (in terms of stopping here for property info, that is). I have to admit I'm a bit of a fan of the Times (don't tell anyone) - only because I originally read some stuff about selling your own home without an estate agent a way back and it must have stuck in my head. I had a crack at it recently. There's quite a lot of choice out there nowadays - e.g. www.first4sale.com. The 'punt' for me was www.mysaleagreed.com (focused on London only). Not a painful experience at all, really. In a way, therefore, I owe The Times a beer. Or ten. |
Shameless, Marc, shameless... |
Actually dg, your visits to random boroughs might be invaluable to a house hunter. |
