Some operators such as Virgin and Great Western have sales where you can get amazing deals. I wonder how they fit into the rewview and whether if they didn’t have them whether regular ticket prices would fall. I doubt it as they probably generate people travelling than would not make the journeys at normal prices.

This is obviously to drain travellers' ir tourists' money and will probably push them toward car hire. A big NO for me.

Rail travel will always differ from flying in that travellers will always need to buy 'walk on tickets' for certain journeys.
