oh no - a football post...
1-1 |
Which makes 26 wins for London. What other London teams have won?
|
The FA Cup has been won by one of these teams for 24 of the last 30 years, the exceptions being 1987 Coventry, 1988 Wimbledon, 1995 Everton, 2008 Portsmouth, 2011 Manchester City and 2013 Wigan.

@ Andrew
Five other London clubs have won the FA Cup Wanderers, now based in Dulwich and playing in the Surrey SE Combination (the 12th level of the pyramid) won the first final in 1872, and also won in 1873, 1876, 1877 and 1878. Clapham Rovers in 1880 Charlton Athletic in 1946 West Ham United in 1975 and 1980 Wimbledon 1988 |
West Ham also won the cup in 1964.

Yay! Finally, something to polish at the Emirates. :)

Charlton won the Cup in 1947

4: Sheffield United 1899, 1902, 1915, 1925
And a "Ronnie" in 2014, for dispensing with Aston Villa, of course. |
Paul and Dave - yes to those corrections:
Fulham, QPR, Millwall and Crystal Palace have all appeared in FA Cup finals. I think that leaves only Orient and Brentford (and arguably the "new" Wimbledon)as London teams currently in the League (Div 2 or above) who have never got to the final. Orient made the semi finals in 1978, and Brentford have been in the quarter finals four times, most recently in 1989. |
