This is another good amateur weather site based in E2.

I can't help thinking that all those foreign visitors to the Olympics will have their stereotypes of England confirmed. The weather is going to do a lot of harm to the future of tourism in the UK as a result.
Ben's amateur weather site based in E2 is indeed very good.

His data suggests that East London has been even wetter than Hampstead (only 12 dry days in the last two months - ouch!)
At the athletics at Crystal Palace yesterday there were two idiots near us who put up their umbrellas even though they were sitting in the roofed area!
"The sunshine symbol simply means it didn't rain, not that it was necessarily sunny."

Indeed. I feel like I've been in Blade Runner the past six weeks.
I had 2 guests from Toronto Canada staying with me the past two weeks, they were amazed at how wet they became visiting our lovely city. They are now back in their drier home town.
It is the weather that will make or mar the London Olympics.
And meanwhile, in Toronto, we're setting a record-breaking heat waves, the grass is burnt, and it's reaching 41C.
Well from the perspective of the Pacific Northwest, you all are living in a 'sun-drenched paradise'.

I think the classic joke on the British weather are all those movies where it's a rain scene with fake rain and the sun is blatantly shining.

I think Olympic visitors should get at least a 3-day weekend of rain, just for the sake of tradition. Umbrella sales would suffer otherwise.
Well I don't think it rained. Did it?!
NW3 weather, and E2 weather, both confirm that London had a dry July 15th.

But I fear we'll be proving St Swithun wrong before the end of the morning.
