I always find Bank Central line platforms warm. So I am pleased that the results verify my feelings. |
I'd still trust this data more than the Evening Standard 'cattle truck hell' figures and story that the paper trots out on the first hot day each year. |
Isnt most of the metropolitan line above ground? Can I ask what the point of installing air conditioning on a line which is mostly above ground is? When the trains have windows that open???? |
The reason only those four lines are getting air-con is that they're the only ones that really can. The rest are deep-level lines that are too far underground to make it financially viable. |
Adding the Waterloo & City line (short but sweaty?) it's 110\\%-unverifiable... |
All lines= Scorchio and Sweaty. Why did TfL waste money on this survey? |
I suspect that TfL record temperatures on platforms as a matter of course, so no money was wasted. |
Everyone will be happy about this come the long cold days of winter. Or do the warmest stations then suddenly become the coldest ones? |
and remember - air con is just going to make the urban heat island of london hotter... brilliant for all of us who live in the city and don't have/want air con of our own... oh and it's not sustainable or environmentally friendly... |
I believe that the Central line between Bank and Liverpool Street must be one of the hottest parts of the tube network. This map verifies that belief, so I can't be far wrong with my judgement. |
