and there is the Danson Festival for those that live in the London Borough of Bexley or the shameful South East

I've been to the jester festival. It's nothing special - just a local fĂȘte like any other, but plenty of fun if you like that kind of thing.

The maps exhibition is a bit disappointing. The art is difficult to interpret, even with the artists there to explain it. I often find a correlation: the more wanky the artspeak in the blurb, the less memorable the art.

We went to the maps exhibition at Rivington Place on Saturday, only to find half of it closed for a private event. Grr. Still, we did see a more conventional maps exhibition at the British Library, a very good photography exhibition at the Photographers Gallery, and an art and photography graduation show at the Truman Brewery instead.
