There's an amazing shop there that appears to sell adult-sized babygros.
I must be seriously out of touch. Either that, or someone in Shoreditch took Nathan Barley as something to aspire to. |
Aspiring Andy Pandys should pop down to OnePiece in box 34. I'm sure Nathan will be first in the queue. |
"It is, allegedly, the world's first temporary shopping mall."
Christchurch, NZ, opened its shipping container shopping mall on Oct 29, as a temporary replacement for shop premises destroyed in the earthquake last Feb. |
The owners of the London-based project are taking legal action against Christchurch's container shopping mall as "a blatant breach of the Boxpark intellectual property rights".
Nasty threatening toys-out-of-pram behaviour, methinks. |
My favourite local Vietnamese place, Namo, has opened an outlet in Boxpark. I can heartily recommend their Victoria Park restaurant, so hopefully the one in Shoreditch will follow. |
What a clever idea! Makes use of a vacant piece of land and helps the economy. Brilliant! |
140 quid for a babygrow? Really? Blimey! |
I thought something like this would be a great idea, using derelict land. But had a walk around yesterday and was very unimpressed. The units on the ground floor could work well, although I failed to find anything of interest. The top floor didn't work at all, very unwelcoming, lots of dead space |
There's intellectual property rights in opening a shopping centre? Or in using shipping containers (wouldn't Trinity Buoy Wharf have something to say about it, in that case?)
I'm not sure I'd fancy a Ploppy in such an environment either..... |
