Small correction: Prestige's grandstand is at the finish line, not the start.

dg nods: Changed, thanks.
DG: Thanks for all these fantastic write ups!

Are you going to be attending the Paralympics as much as you are attending the Olympics?
I can't be the only one who gets the Hawaii Five O theme tune pop into their head when looking at the picture of the two man canoe.
I bought twenty quid tickets for Friday; a day of 200m sprints - I wanted to take my son who is three to something live and this was the best hours on the official tix website produced. From what I can work out we will see no live action at all. Locog are either ignoring my question, essentially can I see the event?" or sending me a large number of irrelevant FAQ responses! Arghhhhh - you cannot sell tix to a live event and then tell spectators they can watch it on a screen. There is a free screen in Hyde Park ffs. Rant over - I would love someone to tell me I have it wrong?
Hi Gail
The 200m start line is opposite the middle of Grandstand 2, so if you're sat there that's fine. But if you're watching a day of 200m sprints from the Lakeside Lawns, sorry, there'll be nothing passing in front of you.
Oh wow, I was at Eton Dorney on Weds too. To be so close to one of my heroes (that's you DG btw), wow. Just to think that I could have been on the same train / bus as you and not realised.

@Barry if you really want the Hawaii 50 experience it's outrigger canoes you're after - and there's a club right here in London http://www.ocuk.org/ Come on down, we welcome everyone, from the experienced to total beginners.
