High Holborn and Kingway are quite interesting though, in their own way.

I walk through this part of Bloomsbury every day on my way to work, DG. I've got various routes that run from Kings Cross to Chancery Lane and it's an area that grows on you. I like it because it's a bit of a central London backwater and still mainly residential with a good mix of people. I agree the Walkway route is a bit strange. I wonder who designed it?

We did this walk when it first was created in the 70s. I liked spotting the pavement thingys when I was a kid.

Hey, that's where I live.

And that 'we cannot accept any more jumble' sign has been there for at least two years. You have jumble around here, you take it to Age Concern in the base of one of those scary tower blocks directly south of KX (and east of where the walk took you, sounds like).

(Oh, no, this walk would have taken you past some on Cromer Street, I guess. Lovely route it took you on there.)
