Pleased the walk ends somewhere where you can get a cup of tea as the weather has started to turn colder. Think I'll try it next Saturday - can you put the kettle on for 4pm?

A bit later than 4 for me, maybe about half past, probably two of us (one ridiculously milky, the other decent, thanks).

"another another Shadwell"?

Dear DG, is it OK if I get annoyed on your behalf that you go to the trouble of writing an informative post, only for someone to point out a typo in a particularly ignorant and ineloquent manner? No? oh, OK then. Probably for the best as I'm not that good at doing the angry pedant thing anyway.

I think this is what Streetview was made for...

Shame the old Bow Station was demolished. What a magnificent building!

Chris - nah, Streetview was made for semi-inquisitive (or nosey) people who have forgotten what their legs are for....

Thanks DG, I have always been curious to know what was inside the viaduct at Shadwell. I've walked past countless times, having grown up in the vicinity and yet never knew there was a previous station there. You learn something new every day on this blog!
