Not the Westbourne? Interesting, but as they say on Wikipedia, "[citation needed]"

who knew i'd learn something so early on a sunday morning...

Dear S Penguin. The citation you seek can be found by following the hyperlink from "but it isn't".

Great chronology! Loving this series.

It would be lovely if there were a Google Maps route to follow, any chance you've had a GPS device with you (such as Google MyTracks?)

...and of course there used to be a pub down on the station platform. I often had a quick 'arf, in a dimple jug, while waiting for me train.
It's now the sweet kiosk at the foot of stairs.

Briantist - there's precisely such a map at the bottom of today's post. It's here, if you can't find the link.

You learn something new every day…

The Sloane Square 'River' would make a good QI question!

diamond geezer: Sorry, I found it afterwards and I felt such a fool I didn't post.

Just wondered if you'd seen http://mytracks.appspot.com/ ? It's bloody amazing.

Here's a dog walk I did by a river, look how well you're tracked, and then linked to Google Maps (or KML).

Just thought, as you have so many rivers to walk.

Newly-received evidence (from a bloke with a big torch) has led me to completely revise this post. Sorry, forget the storm relief drain idea, it really is the Westbourne (trapped inside a sewer) which crosses the station.
