"Brick Lane's an ideal spot for Olympic tourists to dine out after a tough afternoon's spectating" You've got it wrong, it's fantastic for the _athletes_ as it will help them run faster than they though possible.

Given the amount of c********n in the 'disputed' area, LOCOG have done well to extricate as much as they have.

Would comment but apparently supporting such sentiments as yours DG (which I undoubtably do) mean complaining Eastenders are "spoilt" and "unf***ingbelievable" .

Does the Olympic Stadium have a proper name? As you know, it has been built on the site of the Nobshill Mill, a windmill which stood next to the Pudding Mill River in the manor of West Ham, Essex. For about 50 years after the mill had gone, Knobs Hill Cottage stood on the site. Up until the Olympic Park was cleared, the nearest road was Knobs Hill Road (E15 2PQ). The site of the road runs across the southern end of the stadium. So, West Ham will be moving from Upton Park to Knobs Hill.

However, if a different name is chosen, what will they call the southern end of the stadium?!!!

Very good Len, very good, thankfully, it looks like West Ham will win the race and we will avoid the place being knocked down, rebuilt and then inhabited every two weeks or so by the aforementioned kno...

I see they *are* considering sending the Olympic Torch to the stadium via the Thames, which would presumably cut out Tower Hamlets altogether and strike land in Newham?

"Brick Lane and Banglatown will be promoted as cultural and entertainment hub for media, spectators and other visitors to the Games, helping to boost business and the reputation of the area."

No partisanship or community self-interest there then, eh Lutfer?
