Surprised me there: I was expecting the 222
So you've given away what the next bus is, (unless you're going to confound us with the 607!).
"Skyport" is also the name of the telephone exchange for the airport and surrounding area.
West Drayton past home of Air Traffic Control.
Yewsley once had a cinema, the Ritz which was featured in a Pathe newsreel about abolishing cinema tax in the late 1950's.
I'm disappointed that you didn't go to Slough on the 81.

dg writes: I didn't go to Slough because
a) I'm avoiding dead ends and loops
b) I've already ridden the 81 to Slough

...I'm disappointed did not stick with all red (tfl) buses, not sure what options were to avoid the air-conditioned 441!, oh well. on another note; who really still not turned off the beep on texting, clicks are bad, but beeps?!
The tithe barn at Harmondsworth is wonderful ... well worth a visit.
Is Harmondsworth Moor, which DG passed on the U3, the only moor left in London?
I see you have caught the 'hence' bug. Once discovered it's like these tunes you can't get out of your head, you keep reading it everywhere and about everything and by everybody.
441 could be avoided by taking 203 to Hatton Cross then 482/490 around the perimeter, or to shorten the journey a bit, get off just before T4 and a quick walk across the DoN's River (you could take the 555 one stop but not worth it to pay)
Glad to see my photos of Hillingdon Hospital's view in the post. I used to spend a lot of time on the U3 in my student days going to Heathrow Airport and into the centre of Uxbridge. A familiar friend.
I've only used the U3 once and remember being rather amused by the splended stop name "Great Benty" in the housing estate near West Drayton that DG refers to. Simple things ....

I ended up on the U3 on a "round London by bus" journey but I was not as fastidious as DG in hugging the very edge of Greater London when I made my trip.
Not sure why people are disappointed DG didn't stick to TfL buses around Heathrow - the loop around London "proper" is not possible to do on all TfL buses anyway, plus it's a nice bit of variation for us to read about.
As well as the two cubes already mentioned, I see you have also done two square numbers. This trip was therefore the third on which "the rules said I had to take the (64) bus instead [of the tram]" (see 2000, 2006) but 14 years ago, your Square Routes series only went as far as the 100, so the 441 is new.
