Fascinating stuff... intrigue, science & history.

I never knew that the enigma code had first been figured out by the Polish.

Glad you went there and enjoyed it. We donated some memorabilia a few years ago from a Polish airman who flew for the RAF in the war, married an English woman (family friend), but was then killed flying for the CIA. Very brave bunch of people.

Well I shall try to get a look there today, I did not know there was an Enigma code typewriter on diplay in London. Nice report.

A place I haver heard of, and will now make a point of going to.

I came across this obituary of a Pole who fought for his country through the UK's armed forces in World War II - another fine example of how close the United Kingdom and Poland have been and still are, no matter how twisted the Daily Mail and the like would want to portray the Poles.

Great stuff and sounds like it's well worth the visit.

In some fairness regarding Poland's history, the last half of the millennium has been pretty hard work, at least since the Partitions, but at one point the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth stretched from the Baltic almost down to the Black Sea...

I'll have to try and visit, if only to see the enigma machine. I suspect I can scare up a Polish friend or two to take along as well.
