I'm eagerly waiting to hear your opinion!
Have to agree with you on the rain issue - surely the organisers should have planned for the possibility. The shops also ran out of ponchos, for those of us who couldn't find there own raincoats when packing the night before. I was also surprised how few sights of sport there were around the site. Just one area with back-to-back video screens[*], and no video-boards showing the latest results, what's coming up and the like. If I'm at the Olympics, I want to know who's taking part & winning!

[*]Sponsored by BA, who interrupted the women's road-race for a few minutes to get everyone to wave their flags & to give away a BA pin badge. Very annoyed, I was.
Great photos.

I love the distorted red phone boxes.

It's good to see what the park looks like - other than a brief bit with the head gardener on R4's GQT a few weeks ago, I haven't seen or heard mention of it. Maybe I've missed it?

They've certainly done a great job with the planting - but I can't help feeling that if we'd had a 'normal' summer, the landscaping wouldn't look a fraction as good as it does. All that rain has done some good there.
@ Blue Witch - the head gardener was interviewed by Jon Sopel on BBC News the other day. He gave an overview of the different gardens and explained that the maintenance and weeding is done at night with workers using torchs on their hats to see what they are doing.
Have you visited any of the National Olympic Houses yet? http://www.london2012.com/join-in/whats-on/#f_ProgrammeName[]=Other&pageNumber=1&f_Project[]=NOC+Houses
Great photos, dg - much appreciated.
Super photos, you have a great eye for composition, even in the rain the shots looked wonderful.
