I was surprised to see that the BBC article about sitcom locations missspells the Good's surname twice!
I like the bus journey. I walked this stretch Nov 2013 and I remember Bishop's Wood as quite confusing but, fortunately, not too muddy. A shame about the Rose and Crown: I was planning a lunch there some time.
Ye Olde Greene Manne at Batchworth Heath, and the nearby gateway to Moor Park, should be familiar if you've ever watched Genevieve - it masqueraded as somewhere on the road from London to Brighton.
I have been following your blog on and off for about nine months. Keep it up, it's very helpful and good fun at times.

I've been walking the LOOP and the Capital Ring for a few months, about two thirds through them both. Consequently, I was very pleased to see and read this description. I haven't got to this section yet and I will note with interest your further comments.
