When the BFI has a presentation where someone from the production is in attendance-acting or crew-and there is a question and answer session it always makes for an interesting viewing of the film or video.
Pity that the event you attended last night was held in Screen 2 and not the larger, and I think more pleasant and comfortable, Screen 1.
As I only watch the London news or old feature films on TV I have no idea who the characters you are talking about are, but maybe those who do now have an idea of how you look!.

Thanks DG - sounds brilliant. As an obsessively Anglophilic teenager in Melbourne I lapped up every bit of such TV: we were lucky to have both series on the ABC during the '80s.

Are you saying there is a DG/Dexter Fletcher resemblance??

which bloke out of the Press Gang do you look like ??!

Ah, that would be telling!

Wot no Trisha?

@David : yeah, Trisha Yates.. she was tasty.

How do you rate GH compared to 'The Inbetweeeners' DG ?

I reckon DG resembles the (then) swoonsome Kenny played by Lee Ross... strangely I never recognised Lee as my teen crush in his recent roles in Ashes to Ashes and Eastenders (the murderous Owen Turner). He'll be in Doctor Who this series (May 7th in fact) so I'll be keeping an eye out for him.

I loved Press Gang, so I'm gutted I missed this event. I have a copy of one of the Press Gang books signed by Frazz Davis who was played by Mmoloki Chrystie (aka Kevin Baylon from Grange Hill) as his mum was the local primary school's headteacher and he'd often visit. He was so cool in real life - as was his mum actually.

Oh and in case I haven't made it clear how much I loved Press Gang, it was the reason I wanted to become a journalist and so ended up with a Year 11 work placement at News International : )

Just to update, the actor who played Benny Green; Terry Sue-Patt passed away recently.
