I still think of Charing Cross as Trafalgar Square, and Embankment for me is Charing Cross. Charing Cross has and exit into Trafalgar Square! Embankment station is almost underneath the lines going into Charing Cross. I did not like the name changes when they were made.
When you consider that the Bakerloo line use to run as far North as Watford it does seem surprising that it goes no further South than the Elephant and Castle. Then of course not many tube lines go to South London.
"the rest in some random order": the London Boroughs jamjar - as jam jars are - has been recycled?
Do we know what type of jam it is/was?
I think that any potential name changes to the stations around Charing Cross would end up being just as confusing. It would be good if DG could get his stopwatch out and conclusively reveal whether it is quicker to change for the mainline station at Embankment or Charing Cross from the Bakerloo Line.
Whiff - Going South I am sure it will be Charing Cross, and going North, the answer would I guess be Waterloo for Waterloo East rather than either of them, assuming the intention at Charing Cross station is to actually catch a train.
Ah, the hill at Harrow on the Hill, Northwick Park Hopsital, the council tip ... all part of my new manor. Though I always use the Metropolitan line not the Bakerloo, the view sounds much the same.
Not a fan of the bankerloo line, around 15 years had a job in Harlesden and the trains nearly always terminated at Queens park even though that was not final destination and there was constant delays, in the end i stopped using the bakerloo and went to Euston on the mainline instead
Agree with the sentiments above, the shared stretch north of Queens Park always had a bit of a cinderella feel to it, and reliability was pretty hit and miss back in the day. It has slowly improved, but still feels a bit like a poor cousin of the rest of the network.

From an enthusiast's perspective I quite like the whole line, especially north of Paddington - full of little quirks and corners that the capital investment so much of the rest of the tube has been bathed in has missed out (and has no prospect of arriving in the immediate future), but it can be a bit of a headache to use on a daily basis.
South Kenton is a great place if you want to snap any pics of Main Line trains.
@Messiah, I think the question meant, which is easier for passengers with heavy baggage?
@Andrew: I don’t think the type of jam has ever been mentioned. This may be because the jar started out as a ‘used honey jar’ (March 14, 2004). The word ‘used’ was perhaps redundant, as obviously the jar no longer contained honey or DG would not have been stuffing 33 slips of paper into it.
How unusual is a terminating station in Zone 1? I can count five
Elephant
Edgware Road
Aldgate
Bank
Waterloo

and arguably High Street Ken, Baker Street, Tower Hill, Mansion House and Moorgate.
In recent history we have also had Aldwych, Holborn and Charing Cross
In the words of Victor Meldrew - I don't believe it! Enthused by this post I have negotiated a pass-out for next Sunday (10th Feb), only to find:

Trains between London Euston and Watford Junction will only run between London Euston and Queens Park
Replacement buses will run between Queens Park and Harrow & Wealdstone, operated by London Underground
Replacement buses will run between Harrow & Wealdstone and Watford Junction, operated by London Overground
