How deeply unimpressive. Thanks for bringing this to light, dg |
the dig at the Diana Memorial Fountain was a bit unnecessary imho |
Will it be called something else if the old baked bean pops her clogs before then? |
Spot on, DG. I walked along the Greenway earlier this year as part of the Olympic site walk before vast swathes of it were closed off and felt deeply unsafe. I also can't help but feel that this is slightly misnamed - the last time I walked quite a few of thee stretches from Woolwich to Tower Bridge, they weren't particlarly green... |
Having watched my niece slip and fall over in the Diana Memorial Fountain, I feel perfectly entitled to call it slippery. |
well I respect your right to call it slippery. I can't understand what people are doing letting their kids in it in the first place. Do they expect their kids to be able crayon in the art-work in National Gallery as well, perhaps adding a moustache to a Rembrandt? There's a children dedicated Princess Diana playground within walking distance. It was all a tabloid inspired storm in a tea-cup and the fountain looks great. |
All right, Geezer, settle down. You may be the class wit, but a 60-mile walk is no subject for levity. |
I rather like the idea of walking to London City Airport : might just lessen the guilt over one's carbon footprint. |
The Thames Path is a truly shit cop-out, especially as you could go up to Woolwich Common to get to Woolwich Barracks, where there's a bit more greenery and connect to the Green Chain Walk from there. The Woolwich Foot Tunnel's no different from the Greenwich one, just a bit spookier (especially on a Friday night with five pints inside you). |
I like the boast on the website that it will visit all nine London Olypmic Venues. So Wimbledon and Wembley aren't in London, then? |
Diamond Jubilee? Omg please save us from the luvvies now. |
I'm the LONDON DIAMOND who pray are you? |
Please come to terms with yourself there is only one DIAMOND!!!! |
