I used to audit a company on the arches just south of the Old Kent Road, and I suspect the rents were favourable. However, that did result in vehicle repair etc businesses with explodable gasses being stored, and consequent line closures when fires broke out. Was there an audit of these and the termination or non-renewal of leases?
I assume we've all watched IanVisits' driver's eye view of the new extension like good little spods?
Yes,swirlythingy, I watched that drivers eye video the other day, pity the weather was so wet.
I admire dg for walking the route.
There's an official TfL video for the new Overground extension here:

It's very amateur, with all their money it appears they can't appear to afford to buy their videographer a tripod.
@anonymous Everyone knows that tripods are lethally dangerous objects that can't be permitted anywhere near the TfL network, along with interchangeable lenses which might be dropped and cause a derailment :o)
I lived on the Winslade Estate for a while in the 90's. It's unusual because as you say it's in the LB of Lewisham, but has a Peckham SE15 postal address. The rest of Peckham is in Southwark. It was not my favourite
place to live, as there was a lot of crime, and police were round most nights, but it was handy for getting into London. One stop from South Bermondsey station to London Bridge, and near the 24 hour McDonalds on the Old Kent Road if hunher should attack in the middle of the night. The station was mostly deserted and unappealing, except on Millwall match days. The old speedway track was at the end of the road, and you used to be able to walk on it. There was a warehouse at the other end of the road where the posh Pret a Manger sandwiches were all prepared , and there was the upmarket Dualit toaster factory on Ilderton Road too. The Shunters club was just a standard working mans club at that time selling cheap beer and dodgy entertainment. This brought back memories.
