Everything seems, as usual, to be happening in the weekends with nothing much going on in the week.
From a short clip I've seen from a friend in the Fire Service, it seems the London 1666 event on the river is a a lot more than just a single barge!
On Sunday 4th the Horniman Museum in Forest Hill is marking the end of a season of Brazilian-themed events with a special finale including a parade.

Thank you, DG.
I'm waiting for large chunks of this content to be re-produced in other media.
Crossrail site visits sold out at 13:03 . . .

Bah! I'm going to miss both of my annual favourites this year thanks to prior commitments! :(
The Ramblers have the "Walk About Britain Festival" from the 3rd to 11th. Check http://www.ramblers.org.uk/ for details.
Ooops! Just back from a trip up to the Embankment to see 'London 1666' ahead of the weekend. It actually is one barge (albeit a really huge one)
A pointer DG: Brazil Day is on the 10th, not the 3rd.

dg writes: Shifted, thanks.
For who it may interest then this Sunday there is the chance to ride the old B2 route between South Hampstead and Camden Road passing through the old Primrose Hill station. Engineering works mean the North London Line between Willesden Junction and Camden Road is closed.
Acton Depot is on 24/25th.

Brentford Festival remains resolutely in Ealing as ever.
