A few things:
1) I've been to Cambridge. I'm not sure anyone who's been there or who is from there would describe the university as a "campus".
2) Being the ex-Stig isn't as glamorous as you would first expect.
3) Home and garden blogs? DG, I must be missing those many home and garden related posts #3 is on about

These PR people who say I've read your blog obviously haven't otherwise they would know that they are wasting their time. I wonder if there are any PR people out there who do read your blog on a regular basis then get an account to send this sort of email and then don't include you in the distribution list.

So these are "hand cooked”.

As Tyler® is so insistent they are correctly named, I trust they are cooked without the use of any mechanical aids (such as a wire basket), but instead by operatives plunging their hands into boiling oil. I hope Tyler® does that job as well.

I must confess that ever since 'wellknownlondonwebsite' ran those 'stories' about 'kitchen implement style' crisps, I have been waiting to read about how you were also approached.

As ever, DG, you have not disappointed.

I would be interested to know if and how you respond to these requests?
Do they get a standard e-mail referring them to Arkell v. Pressdram or do you send them the telephone number of the speaking clock in Montevideo and urge them to call it?
Perhaps you prefer the frozen mitt approach, beloved of so many recruiters these days - " if you have not heard from us within two weeks assume your application has been unsuccesful. Do you sell their e-mail addresses to purveyors of organ stiffening tablets? I always find that the old remedies are the best - a effigy carved out of soap and then comprehensively pierced with cocktail sticks leads to both tactile and mental satisfaction.

Many years ago I knew some one who was the biggest lying scum, I later heard that he went into PR. Enough said.

*applause*

Great post DG, nice to see you have some scruples unlike wellknownlondonwebsite; the resulting comments on their post about the 'kitchen implement snacks' are somewhat less positive than the ones here.

I agree with Tolley - photographic evidence of fried hands required.

And why are there no kitten-based PR requests? Nothing from the Cat Protection League? Or Scary's Feral Cat Shop?

Brilliant.

Is it a bad sign that I just spent ages trying to work out what ® was. Spatula Quavers? Spoon Crisps? Tongue Fries? Still I do love those style potato snack products!

And as for wellknownlondonwebsite, well they (and others) wonder why I dismiss them noisily at every opportunity.

When will they learn!

The post from wellknownlondonwebsite is hilariously bad. It reminds me of something the Onion would run.

I would have absolutely no desire to try those crisps after seeing that post, which is a shame because I normally do try the slightly offbeat flavours of crisps.
