As a 0 since the beginning (and perhaps a 1-2 during lockdowns), I find it somewhat entertaining that the pointlessness of several of the measures (not the only ones) pointed out in the first part of the post doesn't seem to affect DG's views on 'cockwombles' like me who dare ignore ridiculous guidance, legislation, and most of all 'experts' with scary graphs

Having been double jabbed I’ve found one corner shop and one pub not too far from Bus Stop ‘M’ where none of this rigmarole is enforced, and so l am just carrying on with my life as normal. I miss the ability for retail therapy at Westfield, or the spontaneity of visiting a random pub, museum or bookshop, but not under these dystopian conditions.

I went 10 on Jan 24'th, 2020, based on HKU Med School Press Conference. Did all my usual disaster prep (lived in major natural disasters zones most of my adult life). Fully prep'ed in less than three weeks based on published Infection Fatality Rate number for SARs CoV 1 in 2003 (2.0%) and having got the full H1N1-09 experience in 2009. So N99/FFP3 etc by third week in February.

Read first Taiwanese SARs CoV 2 clinical paper 4'th week in March 2020, read first South Korean clinical paper 1'st week in April and immediately went 0 and have been there ever since. Turns out the 2003 IFR number was part of the Chinese coverup. No follow up studies to establish true IFR seroloigcal studies ever allowed published. True IFR for both outbreaks basically mild pandemic flu levels. (<0.2%). With very high age cohort bias. Unlike pandemic influenza.

Since then utterly appalled at mass hysteria. But not surprised. All real / traditional published science (and mathematics)out the window. Will not take experimental vaccines with dubious numbers. Due to medical condition would have serious adverse reaction to adjutants used by these vaccines. Will wait for traditional attenuated virus vaccine like VLA2001.

Have not worried about SARs 2 since May 2020. Absolutely terrified about long term damage to economy, social structures and basic human rights by the panic and mass hysteria. Which is what I have been preparing for for the last year.

Currently getting myself set up for an economic crash much worse than 2008. And a probable shooting war over Taiwan once the full political implication of the Chinese coverup of the accidental lab escape around April 2019.

So yeah, I am very much at 0 for SARs but beyond 10 for what will happen next. Which will be much much worse.

I was a 0 all the time I read the SI worked out that most of what the govt claimed wasnt backed up by law. Advice, Guidance & Guidelines were just that "advice" Once the police found out that exceeding their lawful authority risked destroying any policing by consent the College of Policing made sure that the less brighter Plods out there had a document to refer to. Masks were and still are a waste of time in most settings unless Medical Grade N95/N99 and wearing a dirt old t-shirt across the face was just virtue signalling. A permitted activity was legal at any time and there was no legal restrictions on how many times you could do that activity or even how far you could travel to do it in law.
