Could you clarify the point about whether the dancing bear was a real bear or somebody dressed as a bear. Shame I'll never get to visit the Church farmhouse museum even though I grew up in that borough.
I suppose the more you've been used to having so many services, free museums etc the more you miss them when they're gone. Unlike where I am now in the states where there is very little in the way of services or benefits of any kind to begin with!

In a city with some of the finest museums in the world, should London Boroughs maintain their own museums anyway? It's not as if most people in London have strong emotional ties with their Borough, in the way people in discrete towns and villages do...
