Actually, one nice thing about the Fat Duck is that reservations only open two months ahead. Purportedly to give everyone a chance of booking a table.

Apart from the "vicar of Bray", I Bray with Bray Studios, (a little further along the river), where so many Hammer horror films were made.

I do not think I shall be eating in the Fat Duck, apart from the cost the menu does not appeal to me at all. Also see the link below.

We used to live in Maidenhead and walk down the green way to Bray where we would look at the Fat Duck menu and the Waterside Inn and then console ourselves in the pub (sadly in its pre-Heston days).

I live about a mile from Bray (and as it happens photographed a wedding on Queen's Eyot last weekend), and I have to agree with John - I get the biggest thrill from seeing the sign for Bray Studios and thinking about it's rich cinematic legacy.

Beautiful part of England. Visit again and walk along the river to Sonning. Lunch at the French Horn and visit the The Mill Theatre. It’s my birthday treat every year.

I remember visiting this place it is an absolute delight

I'm one of the cultural phistines! Postage stamp sized meals at highly inflated prices hold no appeal to me whatsoever! Nice post though.

Food for disgusting, fat, rich old men to stuff themselves with. I literally could not care less about those places.
