Nice last line, but strictly speaking, they're all British, aren't they? Just of Bangladeshi origin. I know commonwealth citizens can vote here, but you'd have to be a UK citizen to actually stand, wouldn't you?

I'm in the same area and will be voting for Rushanara Ali, not least because she upsets the local Taliban. The Islamic Forum for Europe (IFE) who support most of the other Muslim candidates I can't tell which so for the Council elections I won't be voting for any Muslims and I'll be voting against the Elected Mayor, I'm not up to date on the IFE / SWP struggles within Respect but the prospect of Galloway or an IFE person as Mayor of LBTH and its £1 Billion Budget will make Doncaster seem well run.
