Another opportunity for an appropriate posting time. These are appreciated too.
So the N205 has made it all the way to Leyton - astonishing!

That was launched as a zone 1 only bus service replacing "station link" buses (remember them?!) not soooo long ago.
Lesson: some people lose IQ points when it comes to anything public transport. Unfortunately, a lot of them are drivers, which makes it more difficult for the discerning traveller.
Don't panic, TFL read your blog remember? It'll be fixed within a week ... Probably.
The Athlete's village do have plenty spaces at the base of their buildings for small shops and cafes.
How long they take to fill is another thing.

Plus they have just lodged an app for a small supermarket, gym and community centre on of the empty development sites in the village. This is expected to be open for ten years according to the planning documents before being bulldozed for more high rises.
Did your D8 actually say "Stratford International" at the front? If so, shame on the driver for not wanting to take you there! I saw a "Stratford International" D8 at All Saints yesterday.
I understand someone went round yesterday with 339 stickers and resolved some of the Leytonstone gaps.

@ Geofftech - TfL are normally much better than this at putting up timetables and stop info. Quite why this wasn't right for the first day is a puzzle - it's been known about for months and there is never a shortage of London Buses vans and controllers at Stratford. They couldn't drive round and take the covers off the stops? It is part of their job.

And having no shelter for 339 and D8 Bow bound passengers is pathetic. The facilities for bus passengers at Stratford City are already poor given the mega millions spent on the shops. A few quid on properly sized and protective shelters at all stops is surely not too much to ask? They could even move one of the shelters at the bus station that have never been used since the place opened and put it at stop X.

Plenty of people do use these bus services and it's horrible to wait for a bus in the pouring rain as the shelters only have space for about 10 people. There are nearly always more people than that waiting.
Such wide avenues. What are the cycle lanes like? Segregated cycle lanes deserving of an Olympic legacy develepmont? I can't imagine many of the homes come with parking so I assume the whole area is built with a focus on public transport and cycles...
Lovely day yesterday, I was in the Olympic Park eating my lunch. didn't use any buses though, sorry.
Out here in the north-western suburbs, full marks to TfL for putting up the new timetables for the H18/H19 (frequency up from x30m to x20m) early - though it may have confused visitors on Friday who would have found the old service still running.
I see from the update that you were in the Olympic Park the same I was there on Sunday. Looks like I was at Stratford City and you were over at the East Village. Curses - a lost opportunity to spot the lesser spotted DG in (almost) its natural habitat :-)
