Normal
Most people will have been vaccinated and had a booster
Maybe I’m predicting what I want, but I am hopeful.
Normal, although corporate media will continue to 'clutch their pearls', and scour the country for victims.
Maybe false optimism, but I think the vaccine will continue to limit hospitalisations and deaths
Herd Immunity strikes back
Normal as to regulations, but not as to how many people feel about large gatherings.
No restrictions in force. Whether it's actually advisable to gather in large groups is another matter.
I can’t foresee the situation being so bad that this government will feel forced to impose mandatory restrictions at Christmas 2021 rather than simply saying it is a matter of personal choice.
This government was extremely reluctant to impose anything last year in the midst of a large surge in cases. I seriously doubt they'll do anything this year. Whether that's appropriate or not is a different question.
Given who is PM, & how bad it had to get last time for him to put restrictions in place, I don't think we'll have any, though whether we should is another matter.
No restrictions, I predict.
Normal. Throwing the un-vaccinated under the bus is the reward for those who have chosen the vaccine. Lets hope the flu vaccine chosen for this year is the right one.
Normal, like Chz and IOD say above.
Normal, unless we are up to the highly contagious Gamma variant by then.
I think we'll be allowed to meet up whether or not it's advisable. Can't see Boris restricting a second Christmas in a row.
Normal although I suspect the promise of normality will be used to push boosters and flu jabs as we approach winter.
The optimist in me says normal, partly because maybe we'll have had a booster and partly because PM won't want to cancel Christmas again...
What Still Anon said.
On holiday with another couple,
Three of us think "Normal"
My wife thinks "Limited"
Normal (But any family from outside the island of Great Britain won’t be having much luck trying to join)
Normal.

Boris couldn't keep the restrictions fully in place in 2020 so unless things go badly wrong over the next 5 months I doubt he'll want to appear as a Grinch for the second year running.

The decision will be left to us and the blame game will shortly follow.
Normal
Normal...but I will wear a mask on public transport and avoid pantos...and get in the queue for a booster jab.
I'll gamble on science and that vaccinations are effective enough to allow a normal Christmas.
Normal albeit it with advisories on considering gathering size and participants risk/vaccine (booster) status.
I think the rules will be for a 'normal' Christmas whether it's the right decision or not.

Hopefully we'll be lucky and won't have a new, more dangerous variant by then, but I'm guessing people will be more accepting of higher mortality rate even if we do.
Normal, but I expect the NHS to be overwhelmed by January, & some restrictions (if not another lockdown) will be necessary.
Normal - C19 (and it's variants) has become part of our routine.
Normal - for the reason that once all restrictions are lifted nobody would care to return to lockdown. Heaven help any government minister attempting to revert. Permanent end to political career I would think!
Normal. Boris's previous comments mean he will stick with the rule of common sense no matter how bad the figures get.
Normal as all adults will have long had vaccination opportunity, well over 90% will be fully vaccinated, many will have had boosters, hospitalisations will remain manageable and NHS won't be overwhelmed, deaths will be consistent with chronic epidemics.
Normal. The only reason to impose any other restrictions is if some vaccine-resistant mutation comes out. Otherwise I don't see why it's my responsibility to protect those that refuse to get vaccinated.
Normal
“Normal” in terms of the law, “restricted” in terms of advice/guidance.
I don't know whether it will be safe or not, but that doesn't seem to be a consideration.
Normal deliciously Herd
