I didn't think West Sussex justified its own section, even though Gatwick Airport and the Crawley Sewage Treatment Works are just under 10 miles from the Greater London boundary.

Two suggestions:
Great Cockcrow Railway (near Chertsey).
Hatchlands Park NT, I think just within 10 miles of the boundary (measured from near Chessington) but nearby Clandon Park NT is just over 10 miles.

I'd recommend a night at Tanners Hatch Youth Hostel.
Ignore the marketing fluff; it really is idyllic, and how youth hostels ought to be. You don't have to be young to stay there either!

I would also recommend the now partially-restored Deepdene estate, including the Hope Mausoleum. It has an interesting DG-worthy history.
Near Dorking, around 7 miles from the boundary.
