Deep down I can tell that you really do like kittens.

My question about what you thought they were going to do with the data gained from this seeming bit of fun was serious...

It crossed my mind that this looked like a data collection exercise for someone's PhD. Then I looked at the (lengthy) T&Cs:

http://www.formspring.me/site/terms

eg "By submitting content through the formspring.me service, you grant formspring.me a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, copy, reproduce, process, adapt, modify, publish, transmit, display and distribute such content in any and all media or distribution methods. Such additional uses by formspring.me, or other companies, organizations or individuals who partner with formspring.me, may be made with no compensation paid to you with respect to the content that you submit, post, transmit or otherwise make available through the formspring.me service.

'Services' like this aren't provided for free. There are 'plans' methinks...

May not be a concern for you, but it could be for some people, who are (a) less circumspect, (b) less anonymous.

Paranoid, moi? ;)

"The one thing I miss in London is the sea, but I guess if I stay here long enough even that may make an appearance."

It does -- every day, when the Thames comes in.

To everyone who keeps asking almost exactly the same question about The Mystery Count:
I've already answered one question about it, and that's your lot.

The other side of the world from London is also on the International Date Line, so you'll also miss knowing which day it is.

Though I live in the U.S., every mention of Mile End reminds me of being a young girl walking from the tube station and passing by the Tower Hamlets Cemetery on my way to see my Nanny and Aunts & Uncles who lived on Ropery St (this was during late 50's/early 60s). Nanny died in 1961 and is buried in the cemetery (though I doubt I could find her grave today).

Well, there's a thing Mary, when our youngest was at university in Mile End (Queen Mary) she lived in Ropery St, in a house that backed onto the cemetry. Only trouble they had with the neighbours was the mouse invasion!!
Christine

I so agree with you about the coffee thing.

It makes me slightly smug to hear that there's a bit of London (that bit of Barnet) that I've been to and DG hasn't. Though you do keep on giving me inspiration for little bits of London that I've not been to yet.

Coffee is not my cup of tea.

*running for cover*

I've not been able to access the web for a while...and I don't like the idea of that formspring thing....but I did like the answer about the Jam Jar.
