I'm sorry that this museum is closing. I only visited once as it was difficult to get to by public trip but it was certainly worth the trip. |

It is bad news as yes, they've had some great exhibitions (the Shell Guides probably being the high water mark) and the collections are amazing. Fascinating - at a time when the 'Big' Society is reputedly underway and the answer to all our redundancy problems the sort of institution that would have been expected to 'pick up the slack' is one that has chosen to show such a lack of vision. |
