I laughed at my 2010 post of not being that fussed about facebook - it's the only way I can keep in touch with friends now!
Some of my kids What's App (I'm still resisting) but even those that don't now just socialise online rather than in person since leaving school!

Absolutely spot on with these predictions.... Just look at apps such as Find My Friends. Scary how my children regard this as so normal, tracking where Tom, Dick and Harry are.

I find this line from 2010 quite interesting:
"We older folk may hold back because we still value the dignity of privacy"
Because one of my experiences of the last few years is that the older generation haven't held back, particularly when it comes to Facebook amd LinkedIn, whilst the young 'uns have been more engaged with YouTube, Snap and TikTok, which all gather far less personal data.
