Lewisham Shopping Centre has free toilets, with the bonus of a mural map of SE London with notes on its history outside - worth a visit for that alone

I was surprised (and, erm, relieved) to find one in North Greenwich tube station, although admittedly that's zone 2/3. Seemed like post-O2 eventgoers would be the perfect crowd to hit with a charge for use. But on a Sunday morning after an early flight to Heathrow and many coffees, it was highly welcome. Shame I learned about it on the day I moved out of London, really.

My knowledge may be a couple of years out of date; North Greenwich station veritably used to have loos between the bus station and the top of the escalators.
There should be free toilets at the 02 arena and also on Commercial Way (the Odeon IMAX complex).

Blackheath village has a few:

* 'Automatic' toilet outside the post office on Blackheath Grove
* Age Exchange library
* On the platform at Blackheath station (although they are often locked and maybe that counts as behind a barrier even if there's no physical one in place)

There are free toilets in Hilly Fields park in Lewisham.

Don't you now always have to go through a security check at the O2 regardless of whether events are happening or not?

free toilets in North Ladywell park by the cafe

dg writes: Already on the map as 'Hilly Fields'?
I think bob may be referring not to Hilly Fields but to the northern part of what is now called Ladywell Fields. In my younger days it was Ladywell Recreation Ground, or just "the Rec". But Ladywell is zone 3, so it isn't eligible for your survey.
Zone 3... So it is :(. How about in the children's playground in Greenwich park and in the East Greenwich Pleasance.
