Yes the stupid people who complain of overcrowding at London Bridge despite having been told for over 6 months that the station was partially closing and their trains won't be running from there!
Then there’s the stupid people who vote the same way every time there is an election. The stupid people who don’t follow the detail, other than what you find in the popular media, but they have always voted for them and will always vote for them.
Out of the people who I actually discuss these things with, only one of them has ever voted for a different party, and he realised that was stupid.

So I'm just wondering where all these stupid people actually are. Of course it's also stupid to blindly follow the same colour forever, but that's my type of stupid.
Until we have PR in this country all the PR in the world won't make the situation any better.

Everyone is a Stupid Person to someone else somewhere.
The fathers of wealthy Athenians sent their sons to learn the art of Rhetoric as far back as the 5th century BC. The sole heir we have to that tradition is Boris, lawd 'elp us.

More recently, Edward Bernays wrote the textbook. Available on Amazon, I believe.
I was going to mention, until you alluded to it in your anti-penultimate paragraph, that Stupid People read the Sun or Daily Mail and lap it all up as fact, unless it's about their sphere of interest when they exclaim in horror, "These papers just make it all up!"
we are all someone else's stupid person
does it really matter who wins the next election? big business and corporations have much more power than any politicians these days. and the real problem is no political party will ever speak the truth, which is a) tax needs to go up if you want to live in a decent country and b) theres too many people in the uk so stop breeding.
I agree with Caroline
I was waiting for DG to make Caroline's comment towards the end, to bring the ironic twist into the blog, however it does seem to be just a bit of a rant today.
Totally agree.

Although the MOST stupid people are the ones who stop in front of ticket barriers to search for their ticket.
There are some people (people who have ever ever ever voted BNP, for instance) who are so stupid that they should actually be barred from voting.

But the trouble is that, as Caroline says, everyone is someone else's "stupid person".

dave's comment is a good point. He clearly thinks people who have no real problem with immigrants are stupid. I think anyone who says "Britain is full", or a variant of it, is stupid. Maybe we're both right, who knows?
I was horrified to note that amongst the list of legislation changed in line with the policy 1-in-2-out that at least one case of 'crowd-sourced' opinion was used. Hell, what planet are we on?
No Ian @1.17pm, not necessarily stupid, just tourists
And the ones who keep walking towards the empty ticket barrier next to you and suddenly "change lanes" to use the one ahead of you?
Of course there is a "twist" at the end. Read carefully: "thoughts and actions of the Stupid People. May THEY (my capitals) jump the right way...because the REST OF US (again my capitals) have no say". Thought the "they/us" clearly suggests some of "us" are not stupid and "they" who are are. I would prefer to think all of us can be be stupid at times, but none of us are stupid all the time...
And if you try very hard not to be Stupid and weigh up all the Good policies against all the parties' respective Bad points, what happens ?
The Good party you thought was OK turns out to introduce some dang Stupid policies that weren't in their manifestos. And if they HAD been in the manifesto, you would have probably voted for the other lot.

D'oh.

Maybe the Swiss have got the best idea - a peoples' referendum on every important issue. Then the Stupid people would have less to moan about. And we could all make up our minds on a case-by-case basis.
At 69 years and 9 months old I have in my time seen many stupid people do or say sensible things and many sensible people do or say some very stupid things.
All this has left me very confused, and I'm only certain of two things - don't believe a word of what you read in the Daily Mail, and if you read the Daily Express you are beyond help.
Having worked in a Cabinet Minister's Private office it always astonished me that so many decisions could be summed up as "damned if you do, damned if you don't" !
And some stupid people stormed an office today and killed 12 innocents
DG, You and Dave have just described the November 2014 elections here in the good ole USA. And it's going to hold true thru the 2016 elections too. So you can't really feel so exclusive. "The End is somewhere neigh!"
'And whichever side stirs up the most fear, and/or dangles the largest carrot'

um this struck me as a great comment, given the SCottish referendum. And for the 2015 election it is already happening. Of course after the event the carrot can be taken away ! Student loans or grants anyone ?
ante-penultimate rather than anti...
Sorry, but it is rather different....
An unbelievably arrogant, smug, bigoted and anti-democratic post.
