I can't survive without an average of less than 8 hours sleep per day, i.e. a third of the pie chart.

I can function normally after a night of 3 hours sleep but I need to catch up the next night, or else.

Coffee has no effect on me if I haven't slept enough. If I have, then I'm awake anyway, which means that unlike my co-workers and friends, I don't need to spend £50 a month on Starbucks/Costa/Nero.

In fact the rare times I have coffee at all, it's usually at night and helps me to sleep. I'm only posting at 4am because I'm not in the UK right now.

Anyway, here's to many more Februarys of DiamondGeezer!
"I continue to write too much."
Not from this regular reader's point of view, BUT if, as you say, this means "less of my time 'having a life,'" then I feel selfish. Because you put a *daily* London tonic into my expat life quite unmatched by any other blog.
Please tell me you are doing something to do with the mystery count today or tomorrow!
So far,so interesting! 😉
Keep up the good work DG. The variety of topics makes me come back. Great stuff mate.
I guess I must be one of the regular 2000 - what a select bunch we are! Sorry I don't get to comment very often but you have improved my knowledge of 'hidden' London no end. Keep up the good work. I'm still looking forward to a report of a visit to Charterhouse because I know you'd pick up on some fascinating detail that I have missed, and your carefully crafted words are always a pleasure to read. Thank you.
I've been reading daily for the past fifteen years. I luv ut bouey.
Bus stops in Bow and Kittens, it's a winning combination.
You're grand. I must say I sometimes wonder how you manage to slot it all in and, selfishly, am glad that you do. On the other hand, re Bow, sometimes wonder if you've too much time to be in the same time continuum as your readers. However, please keep it going as you're part of my chrome Browser for instant trip to london or thereabouts.
DG, please continue as always. Bow bus stops, travel escapes, philosophical musings, odd bits of London - all beautifully crafted regardless of word-count. You are part of our day.
Nothing wrong with a bit of sightseeing in King's Lynn.
Waiting for the mystery count in tomorrow's instalment!
How dg manages to make counting interesting is quite an admirable feat!I also love the bow bus stop/cycle superhighway posts a treat.
Some days are just too busy to give a well-crafted 1,000-word essay the attention it deserves.
Well I'm now a converted daily reader of your blog, rather than an occasional one (pre last summer).
I find most if not all topics enjoyable and I very much admire your humour and the witticisms.
