BTW, it's Royal College of Art not Arts.

I was always looking forward to the Theme Park that was proposed for the site, largely because it would have been linked to the outside world by the Battersea Bullet, This fast frequent shuttle from Victoria to Battersea Park would have whisked fun lovers to and from the attraction.

And perhaps the Northern Line extension would never have been dreamt of.
Well, getting the report done so quickly is an achievement in itself. Probably like most readers, I am not impressed by the current plans, and the picture with the "sheesh" caption reminds me of this. But we live in an imperfect world, and sometimes we just have to grin and bear it.
We DO live in an imperfect world but, wherever possible we should NEVER grin and bear it. Especially when it involves Tory crooks and housing development.
Getting home late and still *getting up* early, surely?

Re:italic intro. I feel stupid; thanks for going and thanks for sharing.
Brian at 0847: I live round the corner from BPS and it's been a blot on the landscape for 30 years. More if you count its soot belching operational period. There's more to life than stereotypical hate figures.
@ Old Buccaneer

Happy to use electric-power as long as the "blot on the landscape" and issues are somewhere else though. As for the stereotypical hate figures I'm sure they worry not about all the extra congestion/noise/dirt all these "new luxury developments" will bring to the area? As a side-note...the Formula-E in Batteresea Park is another example of how little is thought about long-standing locals by said hate figures. It all about money
