Ah, lovely Chiswick House, opposite my alma mater Chiswick Grammar School for Boys. And don't forget it's other claim to fame, the location for the promo films for The Beatles' single Paperback Writer and Rain in 1966. I was there!

When I was in Chiswick Cricket Club back in the late 1970s to early 80s we played our home games on Dukes Meadows. Used get a lot of vandalism in those times, scoring hut burnt down, sight screens smashed up etc.. I think the area has smartened up now.

Up near Wormwood scrubs is where they're proposing to tunnel for HSR2. Wonder if they'll find anything related to the course of the river?
