If in Walthamstow you must also see God's Own Junkyard, the extraordinary temple to neon set up by the great and much-missed Chris Bracey. It is in an industrial estate near Walthamstow Village. Extraordinary place!

I recommend Ridgeway Park miniature railway -( http://www.chingford-model-engineering.com). Two different tracks, various different steam and electric engines. Runs on summer Sundays and bank holidays
