Getting to the middle is easy, you simply take the outside turn at every junction.

There was a TV programme on HC recently - most interesting - did you see it?

Actually, I think it was a series.

I agree. We went with our family last Easter weekend, when they had actors playing Henry, Anne Boleyn, Wolsley and courtiers. They were excellent and interacted with all the visitors. They were dressed in period costume, spoke the language of the day (a bit Shakespearean, with a fair amount of prithees, wherefore canst thou not see? etc) and were very knowledgeable about the history of the Palace, as are all the guides. In the kitchen, they even demonstrated dishes, using, as far as possible, actual ingredients used at the time. All in all, a gereat time, much better by far than reading about it in any dry old history book.

Thanks for the fabulous cyber tour. Fascinating as usual...

looks ace. especially the audio thing in the maze. Might have to visit to check that one out....

Hampton Court was a favourite spot for a family outing. I was all grown up before I discovered that the sign saying simply Mantegna Cartoons had referred to works of art. My parents would steam past it and I was convinced we were missing out on some good entertainment, Bugs Bunny style.

Worth mentioning that Hampton Court is one of the attractions on the Buy 1 Get 1 Free leaflet available at railway stations. Travel there by train, with the station only 5 minutes away across the river, hand in the form, show your ticket, and save money!

I agree, Hampton Court is well worth the visit.

At certain times of the year you can also ride in an open-topped horse carrage which is certainly worth the money.
