Steve Chalke may be a TV Vicar (actually he is a Baptist minister) but is highly respected. He was awarded an MBE for his work with the socially excluded. A worthy successor to Wilberforce and the great movements founded there. |

Thanks, DG. I've enjoyed reading your post about the Bakerloo. It was fascinating. I live in Hertfordshire and visit London quite often. However, your post showed me that I should keep my eyes open! I was on the Embankment in Feb 2004, looking for the memorials to Gilbert and Sullivan, and I didn't notice that the new Hungerford foot bridges were open... DOH! Thanks once again, Pete |
