Badly, these were much more exciting

These were dull but not outstandingly. Outstandingly dull would be a discussion of different tokens used by supermarkets for their patrons to use for taxis, and yes there were such things. I thought yesterday's post was quite good.

ooooh, something i can relate to, seeing as i don't live in london. or the UK, for that matter. i don't think that i've ever seen a pelican crossing in this country - but i'll now keep an eye out.

we don't have 5p coins either, but i can use euros and that would be great fun as i'd also have the country in which that euro was minted. quite a hobby i'd have there.

the last post may have me stumped as that's when i was in boarding school.

great posts

They weren't dull at all!

Maybe not the most interesting subjects but, as ever, told in a interesting and amusing manner. Next time I'm driving or cycling dowe the A11 I shall remember the post and also I shall, I'm sure, not be able to stop myself from checking the age of my 5p pieces and I too recall Sir Prancelot so it's nice to be reminded

Hmm, I seem to recall a certain diamond geezer coming to a conclusion a while back (sorry, no time to find the link), that the amount of comments had no correlation to the amount of reader interest. Remember the doughnut/donut debate anyone?

So with that in mind, one can only conclude that yesterday's Routemaster post had few comments because - shock horror - not many people felt they wanted to say anything, which is entirely different to the post being of limited interest...

Just my 2 (or 5) pence worth.

Oh, I was just being kind yesterday. Normally I'd make a flippant remark about how Routemasters are an icon of design, but rubbish buses and I'm glad to see them go. :p

Just to say I agree with The Girl 101\\%.

with three brand new posts, you are truly spoiling us!

Bore us! Bore us! Bore us some more!

You had me by the proverbials with "pelican", but then......

{;¬)

Oh, and if you want some real traffic news, check this out?

That's real reporting, that is!

I like the way you take inspiration from my comment yet seem to try and apportion any blame for "boring content" to the selfsame source (ME).

Admit it, without me your blog is NOTHING! I am your muse.

Or maybe I'm just chuffed at being name-checked (whore? me?)

You're going to have to drum up some stories about your ever so cute kittens (with too many pictures) and how you went rollerblading in the park with your best friend (these being the most boring blog topics I have found to date, since I began reading). But leave out the detail, and the interesting titbits.

No, you need to write about knitting: then we'll be really bored.

It wasn't the number of comments yesterday which suggested that my Routemaster post wasn't interesting. It was the content of those comments.

The big difference today is, I suspect, that I'm getting comments because I specifically asked for them.

Write the next one in txt. Trying to decipher teenage rantings always bores me to tears. LOL

your satire was not lost on me. I enjoy your blog and read it daily... well, almost. I like the way you capture MY London in your photies.

So, the 'results'...

If you measure interestingness by number of comments (which of course you shouldn't), then post number 3 is the least interesting, and even less interesting than my Routemaster post.

If you measure interestingness by number of people clicking on the weblink to find out more (which of course you shouldn't), then post number 3 is the most interesting, and all three posts are more interesting than my Routemaster post.

And if you measure interestingness by how interesting a post is (which of course you should), then the whole thing remains wholly subjective.

I didn't post a comment, but I still found it interesting!
