Ah, sport on Hackney Marsh. This gives rise to home team names such as Hackney Marshians. Always amuses me.

walthamstow marshes is known for a different type of 'grazing' in the summer months. i've heard.

Cardiff Central has a platform zero.

And going back to Routemasters, if you want to see loads, go to the south side of Tolworth station, there are probably 100 of them parked in a garage. Next to the tracks.

Sometimes I used to take the train to/from stratford when it only ran once a day. The same 15-ish people always used it, and theyd always be standing at platform 12 by about 5:35 with their books and newspapers. Nobody would know if the train was on time, or even if it was coming (it often didnt), they just relied on a four-digit time stamped in their brains. You could sense that everyone saw everyone else every day, familiar glances and whatnot, but people never spoke to one another.

Every time I took it there was a new route the train took, or a new development that changed the scenery. It was odd coming to junctions where the other track was still without rails/being built
onexistent.

No platforms visible at Lea Bridge any more, no, and I guess it's unlikely that anybody will ever provide the money to rebuild them either.

There's never any adverts on the platforms along the line at Tolworth/Malden Manor. I was told once this is because they are listed buildings!
Does anyone know if this is actually true or not?
