I thought I was going to be clever and mention the shep man, but you got in first. in any case it was great TV. John Noakes shinning up Nelson's willy (NTNON anyone) sitting on his shoulders and scraping bird crap off his hat. I didn't realise until then that the statue was actually about 15 feet tall and his hat about 4 foor wide.

Excellent. My family and I are going to Trafalgar Square for a ceremony for 200 yrs of Norfolk lad Nelson on Sunday ( bit hazy about details, Dad got the tickets) so I will cunningly impress them with all the knowledge I have just nicked from your site.
