There'll be more complaints from the SNP, DG. First they're made to look like a faraway blip by the Beeb's new weather forecast and now you've got them abreviated to Scot.

I don't fancy GERMLAND one bit!
(to the left of the UKRAINE)
Quite clever though dg

The UK map probably upsets most of the people in Britain, as it concentrates on major towns/ cities rather than counties in a very random fashion. I notice that I've now been relegated to living in Birmingham, which stretches as far as Oxford.
No Coventry or Warwickshire (it's only 750,000 people), we want WAR instead of HAM!

Hmm, very good.
For your next trick, you could make each of those countries clickable links

Unfortunately my clickable links are all the same colour, so you wouldn't be able to tell which country was which by eye any more.

And it's too late to complain about the UK map - I first posted it last June

SOMEONE has too much time on their hands (again). Very clever though (peeked at the code).

Ohh and if the "SNP" (we don't ALL vote for it ya know) are gonna be up in arms, what about "Plaid Cymru"!

Hotspots.

I remember hearing about hotspots when I did my XHTML course.

That might do it.

We only did it with pictures though. I have no idea if it can be done with text.

You could probably make the map into an image though, and then use FrontPage of Dreamweaver to sort out the code easily for you.

Almost everyone else will know more about this than me though, so someone might have a better idea...

we learnt about hotspots in that one strange biology lesson you have when we were about 14. At least i think they called them hotspots.

Oi...where's Tooting in London's textmap...i bet you dont want me calling george on You

Too late to complain about the London map, by 90minutes. Its very centralised isn't it? No room for Walthamstow at all...and we're only Zone3.

What's next?
The world or the solar system?

You could do the links with hotspots, though it would indeed have to be turned into an image for that to work. Alternatively you could probably do it with some CSS to give you lots of different link colours.... a lot of work though.

In which case I think I'll stick with the simple version. I like it simple.

...hey, if it works, why change it?

Because I suggested it
